As an intersection of high and low-voltage levels in the distribution network
the distribution transformer is the key point of power quality control. This paper proposes an integrated hybrid compensation system for the distribution transformer with Dyn connection which is widely used in distribution networks. The active power filter(APF)
the thyristor controlled reactor(TCR)and the passive filter branch access to the delta winding via connecting taps. TCR is used to dynamicly achieve reactive power compensation and the passive filter branch is designed to be capacitive. The compensation range of TCR is extended. While partial harmonic current generated by the load and TCR can be filtered out. Then
the capacity of APF can be further reduced. APF is used to increase the dynamic response speed of reactive power compensation and compensate the harmonic current generated by load and TCR. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
