with the rapid development of microgrid and distributed generation technology
the virtual synchronous generator(VSG)has been proposed which is adaptive to microgrid interface converter for low inertia and small damping. Based on the droop control
VSG further simulates the rotational inertia and damping coefficient of synchronous generator. Compared to the droop control
the response of VSG has been further improved
but the dynamic adjustment performance of frequency and power cannot be guaranteed in the same time. Aiming at this problem
the output frequency of island condition and output power of grid condition are controlled by self-adaptive control. Firstly
the root locus of active power is made under different rotational inertia and damping coefficient
combining with the rotor mechanical equation
the effects of the inertia and damping coefficient on the system are analyzed. Secondly
in order to realize the self-adaptive control of VSG
the self-adaptive equation of the inertia and damping coefficient are established. Finally
self-adaptive control model of VSG whose capacity is 20 kW in MALAB/Simulink and VSG experimental platform are built. The simulation and experimental results verify the efficiency and accuracy of proposed control strategy.
