Distribution network consists of distribution devices and corresponding sensor networks. The failures in the sensor itself will miss or mistake the alarm

which brings difficulties to fault detection. Moreover

it is difficult to distinguish the failure between devices and sensors. In order to solve at the detection problem of the sensor fault in distribution network

a sensor fault detection method for distribution network based on energy balance is proposed. The construction method of energy network model is given. According to the basic physical law of energy balance

an association model between electric measurement data is established. This method can be used to detect sensor faults by checking the sensors themselves without feeder fault information. Finally

simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
