Generation expansion planning and transmission expansion planning interact with each other. In order to integrate generation expansion planning and transmission expansion planning
this paper proposes a multi-scenario generation and transmission expansion planning(MGTEP)model. In the MGTEP model
DC power flow constraints on candidate and existing branches are respectively formulated for linearization. The MGTEP model is a mixed integer linear programming(MILP)problem
which can be solved by mature optimization software. The scenarios of load and wind power output in MGTEP need consider temporal and spatial relations. This paper applies K-means clustering to the calculation of these scenarios containing temporal and spatial relations. Finally
case studies with standard Garver-6 bus and IEEE RTS-24 bus system have testified to the validation of these methods through MATLAB platform and expansion planning of different scenarios are compared to illustrate the impact of load spatial distribution on generation and transmission expansion planning.
