the switched-inductor quasi-Z-source inverter (SL-qZSI) provides a higher DC-link voltage. But in some new energy power generation systems
the input voltage is environmentally affected and sometimes is too low
the boost ability of SL-qZSI may be still insufficient. By just replacing one of the diodes in the switched-inductor unit with a capacitor
a voltage-lifting unit is formed. This paper deals with a high set-up quasi-Z-source inverter based on the voltage-lifting unit (VL-qZSI). The proposed VL-qZSI has an improved boost factor while retaining the advantages of SL-qZSI
the continuous input current and a common ground with the dc source. This paper presents the operating principle and an analysis on VL-qZSI and has it compared with the quasi-Z-source inverter and SL-qZSI. A prototype of SL-qZSI and VL-qZSI is established in the lab
the experiment results verifying the correctness of the analysis. This work is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 51577164
