Power system available transfer capability (ATC) defines the power exchange ability among different areas. The ATC information is crucial to power system market players. However
with the dramatic growth of natural gas fired power plant (NGFPP) proportion
the adequacy of primary energy and the natural gas system operational limits have not been well considered in the conventional ATC calculation
which is obviously inappropriate. In response
power system ATC calculation considering electricity and natural gas coupled energy system steady-state security constraints is primitively studied. Meanwhile
the concept of steady-state security regions of electricity and natural gas coupled energy systems is presented. Furthermore
continuation power flow based on the linear prediction method is implemented. The linear prediction method is used to identify the critical constraint
which benefits both the fast and accurate ATC calculation
and the adjustment of natural gas system operating states. Finally
applicability of the proposed method is verified by test results. This work is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 51277052
