How to ensure a photovoltaic array to track the maximum power point and operate stably has always been one of the important issues in the field of photovoltaic power generation. To address this issue
a new maximum power point tracking(MPPT) method is proposed by using an adaptive parameter adjusting method and extremum seeking control based on the sliding layer. Firstly
the stability of the MPPT method using the extremum seeking control based on the sliding layer is proved. Secondly
to overcome the chattering phenomenon caused by high frequency switching
a sliding layer function with lower frequency and lower noise is introduced to substitute for the traditional simple switching function. On this basis
an adaptive adjusting method for control parameters is further presented to achieve higher control quality while avoiding complicated manual parameter adjustment. Simulation results show the effectiveness and validity of the strategy proposed.
