The frequency deviation caused by wind power fluctuations endangers the safe and stable operation of power system. A frequency domain model including governors
networks and load characteristics is developed to analyze the power system frequency response to the wind power fluctuations of different frequencies. Based on the proposed model
an explicit expression of the transfer function is obtained for evaluation of multiple wind power inputs and multiple node frequency outputs. The magnitude-frequency characteristic of the transfer function can accurately reflect the frequency response of different nodes to the wind power fluctuations. The proposed model is evaluated on the IEEE 10-unit 39-bus system
and combined with the measured data of wind power fluctuations
a simulation example is analyzed. The result validates that the model can evaluate the influence of wind power fluctuations on the system frequency response at all nodes efficiently and accurately.
