The fast rising of peak load and large-scale intermittent renewable energy integration increase the difficulty of power system scheduling. If demand response(DR)resources are included in the traditional generation scheduling plan, the scheduling modes of a power system will be more complex and difficult to solve.Because DR resources are massive, widely distributed and mostly impractical to be controlled directly,an interactive mechanism between power grid control center and load agents managing multi-type power consumers is needed and proposed.Combined with different DR resources’scheduling cost and other load agents incomplete information, each load agent makes a disperse decision to achieve its own profit maximization objective.Conventional cost-based load management may cause the loss of utilities’revenue and restrain their enthusiasm on DR program,a new profit-based decision-making model is proposed for utilities to overcome these issues.Case studies are given based on the IEEE 39-bus system. The change of generator output, scheduling cost and profit of an utility,as well as load agents’revenue after considering the interactive mechanism are analyzed through the case studies. The results show that this interactive scheduling model can help to realize a win-win situation between a utility and load agents.
