Widely used in low-voltage and medium-voltage systems
the matrix converter is restricted in its application in the high-voltage area by the device voltage level. The integration of multi-level topology and matrix converter is expected to become an important means of solving this difficulty. This paper describes the topology characteristics of the multi-level matrix converter
then focuses on the feasibility of the flying-capacitor clamped multi-level matrix converter and the capacitor voltage control strategy. A complete state-space vector modulation strategy for output voltage and input current is proposed. Finally
the simulation and experiment prototype results demonstrate the feasibility
the reliability and the validity of the control methods.
