electric taxis have been used in several cities with the advantage of no emissions
no noise pollution
and low operating costs
etc. After the large-scale utilization of electric taxis
the charging power will increase and have an effect on the power grid. The charging behavior of electric taxis and private cars is compared based on the running mode and driving characteristics of a taxi while considering the influences of the shifts
dining
and night shift on taxi charging timing and mileages. A segmental probability estimation model is built accordingly. The daily charging load of electric taxis is solved using Monte Carlo simulation. According to the electric taxi charging operation data of Shenzhen city
the estimated electric taxi charging load is obtained by the segmental probability estimation model and compared with the actual load. Results show the validity of the segmental probability estimation model.
