By considering the characteristics of the single-phase bridge rectifier capacitance filtering circuit
the harmonic equivalent circuits of the single-phase bridge rectifier filtering circuit in ideal voltage and harmonic voltage are derived based on the frequency-domain harmonic model. With reference to the equivalent circuit
the mechanism of capacitive characteristics is analyzed in two voltage conditions. Calculation and simulation studies on the circuit are performed. The results show that under different voltage or load parameter conditions
the circuit could appear to be capacitive or inductive. A method capable of determining the range of circuit parameters which makes the single-phase bridge rectifier circuit capacitive under a definite voltage is proposed
effectively preventing the non-linear capacitive resonance between the circuit and the system inductance.
