Taking distributed generator(DG) operating characteristics and load control features into consideration, a multi-agent method is proposed for quick fault restoration of the distribution network. The multi-agent system consists of the important load agent, global load control agent, distributed generator agents and microgrid agent. The blackboard model is used to build a coordination mechanism among the agents, each playing its part in seeking a solution. The blackboard model organizes and coordinates the agentsbehavior and enhances the information availability via the information update and store processes, not only realizing parallel calculation among the agents, but also avoiding information retention due to the out-of-sync state. The blackboard and knowledge sources are designed. Test results show that this method is highly efficient in giving an accurate and fast restoration strategy.
