UCA International User Group held an interoperability(IOP) test on March

2011 in Paris France. The paper introduces the organization

test target and environment of IOP test. The test consists of network infrastructure

SCL configuration system

Client/Server

GOOSE and Sampled value testing. It summarizes the test items

interoperability issues and decisions of each type of test. The IOP test proves that IEC61850 Ed1.0 is interoperable

but the SCL files and network configuration should be concerned in the engineering projects. Some of the IOP issues need to be fixed in the new standard of IEC TC57. This interoperability test has model significance for the engineering of smart substation in China.
