The“synchronization detected” control logic is generally used in the reclosing relay of small power source's 110 kV double-ended tie-line. However, when the fault occurs in the tie-line with wind farm interconnected, it is difficult for the reclosing relay at the wind power side to successfully act if the synchronization detected control logic is used. According to the control theory of the wind turbine driven doubly fed induction generator(DFIG) and the fault recording waveform, the reason for the failure is analyzed. Based on the studies, a proper coordination mode of reclosing relays in the tie-line is proposed and applied in practice, which efficiently improves the reliability of the tie-line.
