The opening or closing operations of breakers/switches in substations can be implemented only when they can meet the misoperation prevention control rules. Currently, the configuration of misoperation prevention control rules is carried out manually, with no guarantee for the correctness of rules. Based on the practical misoperation control rules adopted in substations, the necessity and practicality of using positive direction rules are explained, and the misoperation prevention control rules are studied. It is concluded that the misoperation prevention control rules can be generated from the graph theory and operation rules, and the developing ideas of auto-generation of the misoperation prevention control rules expert system are proposed.
