A new type of voltage quality conditioner with 5-level H bridge cascaded multilevel connection is studied. On the basis of working principle， a multi-objective control strategy is proposed which can resolve the typical power quality problems， such as voltage sag， voltage swell， and harmonic. The short circuit current can also be limited on the load side. Simulation results based on PSCAD/EMTDC show that the main circuit topology of voltage quality conditioner is correct and the multi-objective control strategy is valid.
