The correctness of the feeder automation operation logic is the key to the reliability of feeder automation. It is quite difficult to prove the operation logic on-site owing to the complexity in feeder automation implementation. A feeder automation simulation test environment is studied and created and the correctness of the feeder automation operation logic is tested prior to its on-site operation. It achieves the simulation of the distribution system and the communication of feeder terminal unit(FTU) in a parallel calculation environment. The simulation environment can simulate different types of the feeder automation operation process under different fault conditions. Finally, with the project of a regional feeder automation system as an example, simulation tests are carried out, realizing analysis of and test on the process of fault location, isolation and recovery for the power supply system.
