The uniform criterion， principle and methods of configuration for under-voltage load shedding in domestic power grids is lacking until now. Based on experience of under-voltage load shedding schemes from domestic and overseas power grids， and considering features of China power grid and the requirement of China State Power Grid Corporation on security， a fundamental criteria and configuration method are presented. The criteria and configuration method are mainly suitable for distributed under-voltage load shedding schemes， and focus on the necessity of full-time domain simulation and the diversity of the schemes. Finally， a propositional under-voltage load shedding scheme of Chongqing power system is given.
