To satisfy the future development of the electricity market， research should be carried out on the schemes of the second phase of East China Electricity Market construction. The choice of the newly introduced transaction variety is one of the research emphases. From the aspects of necessity and feasibility， the physical transaction， financial transaction and other transaction variety in the second phase of East China Electricity Market are analyzed. The corresponding price formation mechanisms and time series of settlement are also studied.
