With the feature of no start-up， high sampling rate and continuous recording functionalities， the power system synchro-continuous recording device can record the whole process of significant events such as large area electric blackouts， system oscillations and voltage collapse. A short-circuit fault test was carried at Jilin Baichen wind farm by Jilin Electric Power Company for the wind turbine modeling and studies on the interaction between wind farm and power grid. In the test， synchro-continuous recording devices was successfully used to record the whole process of short-circuit fault， wind turbine start-up and shut-down.
