Dynamic voltage restorer（DVR） has been considered to be a cost effective custom power device and has attracted much research attention recently. A comprehensive review of DVR topologies， compensation strategies and control methods is presented in this paper. It is aimed at providing a broad perspective on the status of DVR to researchers， designer， and application engineers working on custom power device.
