The key to realizing feeders' fast relay protection is fast protection message exchange on multiple spots. For economic reasons, the communication scheme for feeders' protection should be combined with distribution automation communication. Wireless communication has such advantages as higher flexibility and lower cost. A network structure based on fixed broadband wireless access technology to realize feeders' fast relay protection is proposed. The interface model based on IEEE 802.16d Standard is given. To meet the requirement of high reliability and rapidity, the access and schedule protocol on the media access control(MAC) layer is expanded. The simulation calculation shows that the scheme proposed can meet the requirement of feeders' fast relay protection.
