The project is designed to realize non-networked RTU to interconnect to Dispatching Data Network by the transformation of low-level router in this paper. At the same time

traditional DNP 3.0 protocol is also revised to adapt to network connection

and eventually

Northwest Network DNP Protocol is come into being. Because this project is carried into execution

a large number of funds used to replace non-networked RTU are saved

further more

which avoids the communication bottleneck between SCADA/EMS and non-networked RTU so as to break the limitation of traditional transmission

improves the use efficiency of network

the real-time and reliability of information transmission

and which also helps to construct standby dispatching system in the future. At present

this project is verified in the practice

and it is popularizing and practicing in northwest power companies.
