Mediumvoltage adjustablefrequencydrive (AFD) systems for the save of electrical energy have been developed during recent years. There are various converter configurations

but the detail control methods are rarely in publications. This paper describes two novel control strategies for mediumvoltage AFD systems

and analyzes output waveforms and their spectrums.
