Evaluation Method of Electric Power and Energy Balance Based on Multi-scenario Time-series Operation Simulation
An evaluation method of electric power and energy balance based on multi-scenario time-series operation simulation is proposed to address the supply-demand balance issue after the integration of high proportion of renewable energy into the power system. This method is based on the analysis framework of typical daily scenarios and 8 760-hour scenarios throughout the year. It proposes a probabilistic scenario generation method for renewable energy based on the clustering of source-load coupling feature indicator sets
a time-series operation simulation model optimized for ensuring supply and promoting accommodation
and a probabilistic evaluation index system of electric power and energy balance. The proposed evaluation method of electric power and energy balance is validated using a provincial power grid in southern China as a case
and the results show that the proposed method can effectively evaluate the system supply capacity and renewable energy accommodation level.
