Due to the physical structure characteristics of the generator
it cannot be operated in some parts of the output interval
which is also named as generator prohibited zones. If these prohibited zones are not considered in the security-constrained optimal power flow
the corrective output of generators after line fault may not eliminate the overloads in time. Therefore
the model of security-constrained optimal power flow with the consideration of generator prohibited zones is proposed. As a large-scale mixed integer linear programming model
the proposed model is hard to be directly solved. Benders decomposition is used to decouple the proposed model into the optimal power flow master problem and the short-term and long-term N-1 fault correcting subproblems. The non-convex mixed integer sub-problem is reformulated into a linear optimal subproblem by fixing the binary variable
which can return the corresponding valid Benders cuts to the master problem. Test results on a 6-bus system and IEEE RTS-96 system verify the efficiency of the model and algorithm proposed.
