DIgSILENT PowerFactory software is increasingly widely used in power system analysis in China and abroad. However,it does not have measurement-based models and parameters of the synchronous generator control system, such as the excitation system, the speed governor system, and the power system stabilizer, which will restrict the improvement of analysis result accuracy. To solve this problem, based on the actual data in PSASP projects, the measurement-based models of synchronous generator control systems are selected and established in PowerFactory.Case studies are conducted in a two-area four-machine system.Comparison results between PowerFactory and PSASP have validated the accuracy of the models developed, laying a foundation for obtaining even more accurate results of power system analysis.
