Inter-turn short circuit fault of stator windings is one of the common faults of doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG).The change law of electromagnetic properties is analyzed when inter-turn short circuit fault occurs.A multi-loop math model is built for stator winding of DFIG under normal and inter-turn short circuit fault conditions. Then the simulations under normal and various degrees of inter-turn short circuit fault conditions are completed.By deeply analyzing the simulation results, the spectrum analysis is made for the stator-side and rotor-side currents, and the harmonics variation is summarized under normal and various degrees of inter-turn short circuit fault conditions. The feasibility is verified that monitoring the operation condition of DFIG and fault diagnosis can be achieved with the special frequency signal.
