Household load identification is used to guide users to rationally arrange electricity consumption time, and provide a basis for the formulation of a management scheme of the power system demand side.In view of the inadequacy of most existing methods using the load steady-state data as the characteristic values for identification,a new method that matches the household load with closeness based on transient characteristics is proposed with the uniqueness of the transient characteristics taken into account when the load turns on or off.First, the standardized templates for the transit characteristics of household load is built. Then the closeness between the signal and the standardized templates is calculated as the membership. Finally, the household load is identified according to the comprehensive maximum membership principle. The method proposed is accurate, feasible, and easy to implement.
