According to the status quo of CO2emission in power plants and the demands for carbon capture systems, the power consumption and generating cost of adopting the carbon capture technology are quantitatively analyzed. Taking the generation cost as the constraint, the optimum allocation model for the carbon capture system is developed with the objective of maximizing the total emission, and an algorithm based on the modified discrete particle swarm algorithm is proposed. Case studies verify the effectiveness of the model and algorithm proposed.
