The main objective of this paper is to investigate wind power integration capacity and low voltage ride-through characteristics in an isolated power system. Taking the first domestic offshore wind power station as the research background, a dynamic model of the offshore oil platform is built based on PSCAD/EMTDC, including direct-driven wind turbine with permanent magnet synchronous generator, gas turbine generator, load, etc. The maximum wind power integration capacity of the isolated power system is obtained by simulation. Under this configuration, the fault ride-through capability of this isolated power system is studied when a short circuit fault happens at the point of common coupling. Simulation results show that the maximum wind power integration capacity is 21.6% of the load, which provides a reference for future application of this kind.
