Practice indicates that the selection of parameter identification range has a great impact on the identification results. Based on the trajectory sensitivity of absorbed power to load model parameters, a new parameter range adjusting method is proposed. First, the parameters requiring adjustment are selected according to their trajectory sensitivity in the dynamic process. Then the parameter identification range is adjusted based on the variation characteristics of the dynamic trajectory sensitivity, thus attaining the goal of identification precision improvement. Case studies fully demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented method.
