Some technical issues in the application of EEAC are discussed. A novel integrated rotor angle criterion, which includes both historical and future information of rotor angle curves, is proposed to identify the true critical cluster. Additionally, a composite criterion using the slope and angle of dynamic saddle point(DSP) is proposed to judge whether the DSP is the true DSP resulting in losing stability. Finally, the flowchart of transient stability assessment criterion is given. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method works well. It can assess transient instability even when the characteristic of instability is not obvious enough to take measures such as splitting as soon as possible.
