Till now， dispatcher training simulator（DTS） is only used for dispatcher training， not for the maintenance. After analyzing the differences between the two training demands， a new integrated training simulator for both the dispatcher and maintenance personnel is designed. On the basis of keeping the former structure of three subsystems， i.e. teacher control subsystem， power system simulation subsystem and supervisory control simulation subsystem， the supervisory control simulation subsystem is augmented and a data transmitting subsystem is added to the training simulator so that the interior special program connection between the power system simulation subsystem and supervisory control simulation subsystem is replaced by the exterior standard physical channels. The multi-status concept of simulation database is proposed for the separation of debugging status and running status， consequently the simulator is a highly realistic training system uninterrupted in time scale.
