Based on the investigation and analysis of the load component of Ningxia Power grid

characteristics of some special loads such as ferroalloy

electrolyte

irrigating and electric railway load was studied in detail. The original load model used in the stability study was adjusted and modified to some extent according to the practical status of the Ningxia Power grid’s load characteristics

and a new load model was proposed for Ningxia Power grid future’s stability study. The qualitative and quantitative explanations are also given to the cause of the stability difference when the proposed new and the original load model was used in the Ningxia Power grid’s stability study.
